Badds Fam

We are taking advantage of Shells, Aaron and Jewell being home for a week. :) It's been way too long since we've been able to hang out with the Baddeley's. Sophia and Jewell actually look at each other now. It's just gonna get more fun!

Monday night we joined some friends at an indoor go kart track... I say go kart, but it was really fast little cars with no walls. Way too fast for my taste, but Jared enjoyed himself!
Thanks Watsons!

Some of the pro-drivers.

I think they really thought they were professional drivers! All suited up and ready to race!

Wacko Waco!

Ashleigh is officially Baylor Bound! I'm just so excited for her... and maybe a little jealous. Mom, Ash, Sophia and I got to go check out the campus and stay at the fabulous Swartz hotel! We had such a great time and are so thankful to Lesley and her family for allowing us to stay in their home. I loved getting to know Brett aka Willy Wonka. Bella Buns is all grown up and Rowan is only nine days younger than Sophia and a great cuddler. The kids had so much fun together. It's crazy to think that 10 years ago Lesley and I lived in Russell as freshman.
Who knew we'd be here one day!
Sophia on campus. It has changed so much in five years!
New buildings everywhere, but still so beautiful.
You just never know...

Breakfast time

Ninfa's :)

At the Erin McCarley concert.
Sic 'Em Smash!!! I love you!!

Easter 2009

First Annual Bunny Badminton Tournament... I totally made up that spelling... I have no idea. Gigi was teamed up with Jared and they advanced all the way to finals. She even beat out her other two son-in-laws. Amazing. It ended up being Jonny and CJs year though. Congrats boys!

Thanks for the Easter Prizes!

Thank you for the Easter box Grandma and Grandpa Doe! Sophia is already working on her tee ball skills with the carrot bat. Gotta get Grandpa to give her some lessons. :) She has been reading the books and carrying around her bunny since she opened it!

Not a fan of the Easter Bunny

Karie and I got the girls matching Easter outfits and took them to see the Easter Bunny Monday. Sophia loved the bunny from far away but dug into my skin and screamed like she's never screamed before when we got close. There's always next year... maybe! We did manage to get some pictures of her with all the big eggs AROUND the bunny.

She was getting very conidtioned to saying "Cheese" as you can see in the video. She also tries her hand at being muscle woman...

She was most interested in running around and playing in the mall.

Spring Break- Banff

We had an amzing opportunity to travel with some of our best friends to Banff Canada for Spring break. We left the morning after the wedding so it was hectic getting out of town, but it was sooo worth it! We all had a blast. It snowed almost every day we were there. We ice skated, went sledding, the boys went skiing while us girls enjoyed the spa and Banff Springs Hotel... incredible! We even met a new friend, Holey. This "doe" would come up to the condo everyday. She was so used to people, it was so fun! There's another link to the right if you want to see more!
Here are all the Does... :)
A little too close!
Ice Skating in the Canadian Rockies... beautiful!

Alexandra is married.

Alexandra married Danny March 13, 2009. I put a link to more pictures on the right. It was such a fun event! I love you Alex and new brother Danny!!

(Jenny Spires has some more pictures on her blog... link to the right)

Grandparent Visits

Grandma and Grandpa Doe came into town for Danny and Alex's Wedding. They came straight to the zoo from the airport! :)

Papa Roger and Grandma Connie were also in town. It was so fun having everyone here!
We miss all of you!!

Na-nana

First word out Sophia's mouth in the morning is either "Da Da" or "nanana?"
She's getting so big.
When did we get a toddler???

Hands Up!

Karie and Emma pick up me and Sophia for church every Sunday. It's a good 20-25 minute jaunt out there so we have found ways to fill the time. They are well conditioned now and know when it's time to put their "Hands Up!" There's a street with a few bumps on the way and we treat it like an awsome roller coaster!

And this is why we live in Arizona...

I've decided to start with the most recent events in the Doe Family life and move back as far as I can before Sophs wakes up from nap :).

So Baby Sister, Ashleigh had her Senior Prom this weekend. She was absolutely gorgeous. All grown up and heading to Baylor in the fall!!! I'm so excited for her.
We were all dressed up to watch her go because we headed to our cousin John's wedding. It was a beautiful night. Linette looked like she walked off the cover of a Bride magazine. Stunning.
It was so fun to have a night out with the siblings.
We had a sitter for all four kids and the parents played! I love my family.

The next day was the annual MMCC church picnic. It's that time of year when everyone says "This is why we live in Arizona" and I love it!!! It was a gorgeous day and the girls had fun playing outside, eating lots of cookies, and then bouncing in the jumpy things!
