Pumpkins!

For 3 years I've had the honor of spending my Tuesday nights with some great girls from MMCC. We still don't have a group name. It's usually "Bible Study- Young Women (20's/30's)" Catchy eh? We've studied LOTS and cried LOTS and laughed LOTS. I LOVE doing life with these ladies and am so thankful for each of them!

This is what I get for stealing pics from Facebook.
Christy and Karie... Marcie needs originals! :)

Fun Fact

I was just perusing Sophia's first year calendar and noticed her stats (weight.height) were exactly what Micah's currently are, at one year! He's 6 months ahead of her on growth! Yowsa!

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

I tried to time lapse this video, but just couldn't do it.
It's fun to watch him move move move.
It's a long video, but maybe if you push FF
it will look all time lapsed. :)

AZ Sunset

This is a mobile upload from Jared's phone.
The sunset last night was amazing.
You can see Camelback in the distance.
Breathtaking, yea?

Solids

It's a funny thing when that second one comes along and the timetable that you had with the first is a little different. I remember staring at Sophia waiting for her to roll over. Micah rolled over one day and I thought "Wow, he's lightyears ahead of where Sophia was at this age!" Then I looked at her milestone/first year calendar. She rolled over one day BEFORE Micah according to age. I guess I just don't have the time to sit and watch as much.

Another milestone has crept up on us. Six months and solid foods. "They" say you can start feeding solids 4-6 months. Welp, we made it to six no problem. He's been having rice cereal for a while, but he had his first veggie, squash last week. This week will be sweet potatoes. He's just so big, we didn't think of him as NEEDING any more substance. :)
First bite was a little strange, but loves it now!

TRUNK OR TREAT

MMCC's 4th anuual Trunk or Treat was last night. I'd say it was another huge success. Haven't heard any numbers yet but there were lots and lots of people there!

I saw this football costume at Target back in September and could not resist. Micah loves being in it. This past weekend my Alma Mater Baylor had a big Homecoming game. A win meant bowl eligibility for the first time since the mid 90's and they won! And they're nationally ranked... Sic Em! So, I altered Micah's costume just a little bit by adding a BU bib. He is now simply "ranked" or maybe "bowlbound" or "BU Football" but for SURE he is ADORABLE!!
Sophia and cousin Emma both decided to be Cinderella. Little beauties.
First trunk of the night. Sophia had no problem yelling
(surprise, surprise)
TRICK OR TREAT!!
Cousin Devin was there to join in the fun too. He was supposed to be Thomas the Train, but wasn't so much feelin it. Erin made an incredible costume. Good thing this was just a trial run. Hopefully he'll rock the costume Halloween night!
Gigi and Papa were happy to have ALL of their grandkids together. Alexis was great going up and down the inflatable slide about 100 times with Sophia and Devin. She said she was having fun which worked out well for the little ones!
Here's our Doe Fam.
Sometimes it's still strange to see our family look so big!
Happy Halloween Week!

Orange Juice Glad?

This is Sophia's favorite joke.
Sometimes she gets the orange and banana lines mixed up.
She usually rushes through the punchline
because she can't even wait to get it out.
This was the first time I heard "orange juice".
It's actually quite brilliant.
Orange Juice glad I nananananana??
BAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Daddy's Little Girl

Lori has told us all in the past that Randee used to hate taking naps, Richard would run and run and run until he crashed somewhere or anywhere, and Jared would go to his room and be just fine reading. Even had the flashlight under the covers routine down as a boy. I say as a boy, but there's actually one next to our bed right now. Still a late night reader.

I have never had to wonder where Sophia gets it....
Can't... stop... reading...

Deuteronomy 31:6

This month's memory verse in class at church. They're superheroes. Strong and courageous superheroes.
