BLUEBERRIES!!

Sophia LOVES blueberries. When we visited WA last August, Lori showed her the blueberry bushes on the side of their house. I think that's when the obsession began. Lori, being the awesome Grama that she is, has been looking for blueberry fabric ever since. She made Sophia the cutest blueberry dress... with POCKETS! Sophia loves her a good pocket. :) Here is the finished product, by the blueberry bush, of course.

Over the river and through the woods...

Don and Lori live next to a college campus with great woods, trails and a creek. I'm pretty sure Sophia thought she was Dora the entire "hike". And I'm pretty sure Micah was quite oblivious, but very content wrapped up with dad.

Sophia's First Movie

We took Sophia to her first movie while we were in WA. We figured Boopa and Grama could get in some good Micah time and we could get in some good Sophia time. We saw Shrek Ever After. Sophia did great. She sat in my lap for a while and dangled her feet over the railing for a while, then walked around for a while. :) There was only one other family in the theater and they had a small child too so it was an overall great experience for her. She doesn't quite get the whisper yet, but she was all about the popcorn!

Micah Laughs

Micah finally learned how to get his laughs out tonight and it's a sweet, sweet sound! He has such a great personality already. We're in love...

We had his 2 month well check just before we left for vacay. He weighed 13.5 lbs and was 24 1/2". That puts him in roughly the 90th PERCENTILE! His girlfriend Bella is 4 months and in the 2nd percentile. He's already 2 lbs heavier and 2 months younger... yikes! We gotta lineman comin up for Baylor! Sic Em Micah!

Boopa's First Look at Micah

We're up visiting the family in Vancouver this week. Many of you know that Don has not been able to travel since his back surgery so we worked to get up here as soon as we could so Micah could meet his Boopa. Grama Doe got to meet him quickly during a layover in AZ a few weeks ago. We landed in Portland and went straight to the church where Don was for his staff meeting. We interrupted :)

This photo sums up Sophia's time here in WA. She has either been attached to Grama, eating fruits and vegetables, or playing games with Boopa. Here she's eating a tomato.... yes like an apple. She plays Red Light Green Light while Don takes his laps around the house, sometimes with her own walking cane.
