Uncle Jere!!
Look who surprised us and came into town!! Uncle Jeremy came in all the way from San Francisco to meet his precious neice. She is so lucky! Jeremy asked very specifically if he would make the blog :) Of course! Thank you for coming down...we love you!December 7th
Oliver has arrived!
He was born Friday Dec 7th. This is Sophia's first visit to his house. They'll be friends forever! (They have no choice in the matter)
The very same morning that we got the good news about Oliver, we received the sad news that our Uncle Gerald passed away. We are so thankful that we were able to spend Thanksgiving with him just a few short weeks ago and that he and Sophia were able to meet. He will be greatly missed. This photo will always be special to us!

Announcements!
Thanksgiving weekend proved to be the weekend of big announcements...Richard (my brother-in-law) and Leslianne (my cousin) are engaged! They will be married this summer. This is them telling us the story after we toasted with some cider :)
My brother Todd and his wife Erin are gonna have a baby in June! Our sort-of bummer news is Grandpa and Grandma Doe (Jared's parents) are moving to Washington soon. We are extremely happy for them are excited about the plans God has for them at their new church, but we're certainly going to miss them! Sophia just loves them both. She is all smiles around them.
Sophia also got to meet two of her Texas aunties! Jennifer and Christen came to AZ to visit with us. It was amazing to just spend time together. 
Now we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Oliver Fay! He should be here any day. Soph can't wait for her nursery playmate to get here!

So here is my very first blog ever! Jennifer and Lesely inspired me. Now I'll just have to learn to make it pretty! :) Here is our precious Sophia Layne. She was Born Sept 18, 2007. Hard to believe she's already over two months old! She is so much fun. She's smiling and getting more chatty by the day. Jared likes to practice their vowels together. We think she's a genius because she responds and actually mimics him... somtimes :). I'm gonna work on getting good at this so I can keep yall updated on her cuteness!
