We had our first preview service on Sunday. It was great! The launch team invited some friends and family to help us out with feedback. We called it our Pre-Preview Service. It was more for us to see how the rooms worked, how the building flowed, etc. We debriefed with the team after and made some changes to the way we'd like things to work next time and made lists of things we still needed for a excellent service. Here are some of the amazing people we love and get to spend lots of time with lately!
Chris was our techie this week and his wife, Natalie helped organize the children's program.
Jake's sister came down to sing with him for the first service. She also sang with him at their last service in OKC. A full circle moment :)
The little girls loved putting together the really big puzzle. :) Christy even did it with Baby V strapped to her. She's Super Mom, for real.
Patty headed up hospitality and her husband Bob is our nuts and bolts, jack of all trades guy! So thankful for the VDPs!
Here's what the service looked like minus a few people.
We ended up with 18 adults and 10 children.
Sophia helped Piper and Piper's grandpa clean off the chairs. So helpful! :)
Here is a quick little video tour of the main room at the BGC. The walls are bright yellow and the floor in the hallway will take you back to 1975, but we're so thankful for the space and we love it! :) For this service you will see we set up the stage in the middle of the room and used the room "horizontally". It was fine for our small gathering this week, but we will be using the room "vertically" for the next service. The stage will be over on the lockers-end of the room.
Our next service is August 21 and we will be inviting more people! Baby steps. Keep us in your prayers!
